Adventure therapy is an emerging, cutting-edge treatment model in the psychotherapy field, which focuses on physically active and experiential approaches that engage, challenge and educate. These activities are designed to embody lessons and skills that teach individuals how to overcome life’s difficult situations and gain valuable personal insights. We utilize physical activity, the natural environment and specially designed experiential activities that elicit powerful emotions and allow you the opportunity to practice coping mechanisms in a real-world environment followed by in depth processing, gentle yet powerful challenges, and environmental inspiration. We believe that learning and change is an ACTIVE process and effective interventions need to take us out of our comfort zones and into new, exciting adventures.

Founded in January 2016, EPIC Adventures is the culmination of a dream.  Founder/Owner Ricky Santiago along with his two founding partners, met while working together at an adventure-based substance abuse treatment center and found they shared the same passion for adventure-based treatment and a desire to bring these powerful interventions to everyone both in corporate and therapeutic settings – this is the heart of and mission of EPIC Adventures!! Today, Ricky carries on the legacy of EPIC Adventures and leads a new team of facilitator/trainers.
